Walmart CEO Salary, Mike Duke

Executive Mike Duke earned $18.1 million last year, down from $18.7 million in the previous year, as sales growth at the world's largest retailer fell short of its goals.


Duke's cash incentive payment in fiscal 2012 fell to just under $2.88 million from $3.85 million a year earlier and $4.8 million in fiscal 2010, Wal-Mart said in a regulatory filing on Monday.
Duke earned 71 percent of his target cash incentive payment for fiscal 2012, down from 97.4 percent in fiscal 2011 and 125 percent in fiscal 2010.

Throughout fiscal 2012, Duke said his top priority was to return to growth in sales at stores open at least a year -- a key gauge of retail health known as same-store sales -- at the Walmart U.S. chain.
Quarterly same-store sales at Walmart U.S. moved back into positive territory during the third quarter after nine consecutive quarterly declines.
Total sales rose 5.9 percent to $443.85 billion in the fiscal year that ended in January. Walmart U.S. sales rose 1.5 percent to $264.19 billion, with same-store sales up 0.3 percent.
Duke's salary was $1.26 million in fiscal 2012, which ended January 31, compared with $1.23 million in fiscal 2011.
His total payout of $18.1 million fell from $18.7 million in fiscal 2011 and $19.2 million in fiscal 2010.

“I worked upper management for two years at Wal-Mart. You would not believe the horrific things I’ve seen.

I was once reamed out for hiring a deaf guy. I was told that once I start hiring handicapped people, then they would force Wal-Mart to provide all kinds of expensive equipment for them to use. I once had to force a brand new mother into working 22 hours straight because her department was not quite ready for inventory when I could easily have pulled other department managers from their ready departments to help her. Her department wasn’t ready because she’d JUST come back from maternity leave. She did not get paid extra for all those hours. I was once asked to put off my own son’s birthday party because some district manager was unexpectedly coming. They called me at home the morning of the party and demanded that I be there in an hour. Needless to say, I became a stay at home Mom that very day!
The main store manager gets a huge yearly bonus if his yearly wages are under the mark. I was constantly lowering the amount of employees on the floor for him to get this bonus. Then, I’d have to make the salaried department managers work extra hours to do things they should have had employees to do for them. So, next time you can’t find an employee to help you there, don’t get aggravated. Just think how nice it will be for the store manager to get that fat bonus check!
There are lots of things that even the regular, hourly employees of Wal-Mart don’t know. I’m not naive, I know that all companies operate for profit, but Wal-Mart goes overboard to present itself as a friend to the community. In reality, they are a community’s worst enemy.”

Wal*Marts Customer Service Pollicy

WalMart.com Sucks

Mainly it is the high shipping charges. I can easily go to www.amazon.com  or Ebay and get free shipping on many items.  Why would I pay shipping if I can get it for free? Also their selection is very limited especially in children's clothing. Many of the things that I wanted were out of stock especially the ones on sale! The free pick up option to your local Walmart store sucks too.  When I go to the in store pickup service desk. There is never anyone there.  The service just sucks.  Good for some people but not for me! I also would like to know that something was not in stock before clicking on it, a waste of time to go through the sales items just to see out of stock, out of stock.

The customer service sucks too. You can only email or mail customer service, you could also contact your local Walmart too. When I emailed a question, they responded the next day through email.

WalMart Sells Moldy Bread

I went to our local Walmart to get come bread. However all the bread had mold.It mad me sick. I left and went to SweetBay.

It is obvious that WalMart has the poorest quality of food. Yea, it may be cheap. but it will also make you sick. My advice is to pay the extra $.10 cents and go to another supermarket. Walmart sucks. dont wast your time and health shopping at Walmart.

WalMart's Discresepct Towards SweetBay

After seeing this sigh posted at my local WalMart. It inspired me to make this blog. I just simply refuse to shop at WalMart any more.  The disrespect that they have shown towards SweetBay makes me sick. How do you think this affects the people. The SweetBay employes who lost there jobs. SweetBay's loyal customers. The neighborhood's SweetBay were located  in. I know WalMart is a Billion dollar business and they are here to stay.  But I will do what I can and go against them. I will use the power of Google and my blogging expertise to show the world the Truth about WalMart.

Walmart Gold Sucks.

I made the mistake and bought my wedding rings at Walmart. I thought I got a good deal for the price I paid.  The rings didn't last 6 months. To start, the diamond fell out of my wife's ring.  Which her really mad. We tried to take it back. We were SOL. Then my wedding band started to crack. We took both rings to a jeweler. The jeweler took one look at, then he ask us where we had bought it. We said Walmart, why? He told us that this was the worst quality of gold he had ever seen before. That they didn't properly set the diamond and that the gold was full of impurities. he went on to say that Walmart's gold was the cheapest gold you can buy.

Please take my advice, do not make the same mistake I made. Do Not Buy WalMart Gold.
